Ohlay is a culture consultancy and social journaling studio based in Los Angeles. We explore the intersection of people development, design thinking, and social healing to guide people to live and work with greater personal passion and camaraderie. We are exploring different channels and possibilities for engagement and communication to co-create communities, platforms, and content that reflect the members and users that share it.

We share conversations, community gatherings, and tools for the art of connection. Our first exploration is into the world of social journaling.

ALEX OH & NIKOLAY BORISOV

Hello! We are Alex and Nikolay, two individuals with a love for people and community - it's what makes us happy and gets us up in the morning.

Our shared vision is bold, fun, simple, and hopeful:

to spark a cultural shift in the way that people connect with themselves, with others, and with their work.

We believe in a world where people show up fully in every aspect of their lives. People who lead with heart and purpose, and where meaningful work and connections are the norm.

Our favorite way to build meaningful connection is through social journaling. We truly believe in the transformative power of journaling together to springboard more meaningful conversations and to build deeper connections.

Our Foundation

Work is personal. Personal is work.

Our best work shines when we feel an emotional connection to our work and with our community. Our work is a reflection of who we are and how we want to contribute. We believe in bringing more of ourselves to work and aligning the work to individual aspirations and values. Personal growth is business growth.

People are extraordinary.

There’s magic in what people can build and how they can build. We are powerful creators, connectors, and, most importantly, humans. We believe the solution is always with and within people.

Partnership is our greatest strength.

Big impact takes big work, and big work is more impactful (and fun) with a big community. We can do more and do better together than by ourselves. Our greatness shines in relation and connection with others, so let’s grow together.

We love the messy middle - the space and silence in between the lines. When most people step back or push out, we step in. It’s where we see the greatest opportunity for connection and transformation.

Sharing is our currency.

Exposure is the foundation of education. It’s how we discover, expand, and grow. Sharing is what brings our community together. We’re powered by our like-hearted desire to share what we have to create meaningful work and make the world a better place.
